I only have the remnants of a head cold and I'm miserable. If you have bad allergies, you must be dying. Every leaf, flower, bud and blossom in Atlanta opened up between Friday and Easter morning. A Facebook friend wrote that she "literally watched the pine pollen surface
outside my window on Friday. Nothing on the tree in the morning--full
and landing on my car by evening."
At 5,733, The pollen count is literally off the charts. It nearly doubled since yesterday. It's wayyy beyond the Atlanta Allergy and Asthma Clinic's range of “high” being 61-120 and anything over above 120 classified as “extremely high.”
Why? Why does Atlanta get inundated with pollen? Anybody know?
We flew out of Atlanta last week, and as our plane took off we could see a smoggy layer of greenish-yellow haze blanketing the city. It was nothing less than a blend of smog and pollen... horrifying!
