9. Taught me that virtually all cranky and overtired children benefit from hydro-therapy -- a nice hot bath.
8. Makes killer brownies.
7. Picked a great husband.
6. Thinks I'm fabulous.
5. Still reads the New Yorker magazine cover to cover.
4. Planted 100 daffodils in my garden when I was pregnant.
3. Before the wedding told me I didn't have to marry Mex. . . even back then when she liked him.

I found your blog in my never ending search for the bamboo lap trays you wrote about in November. While I still hope to find a source for the trays (mine are beat to sh**, and I'm embarrassed to own them), I found something much more valuable--your great perspective. I'm so sorry about your home--I can't imagine. Just get plenty of rest, find time for your yoga, and a glass of wine likely would be a good thing. It's amazing that you took time to write the lovely tribute to your mom. She's lucky to have you, too.
